Created for all those who dream to reach the feet of Everest and can spare only two weeks, this wisely designed trek walk along whole Sherpa homeland till the base camp of top of the world.
It is by flying that we reach the gates of Khumbu, the Everest Region. 45 minutes of wonderful mountain flight above Himalayan giants to land in Lukla where we'll start smoothly our trek.
We aim to Namche Bazaar, main trade center between Tibet and Sherpa located at 3440 m high. It gives us opportunity to spend one acclimatization day.
Then we enter into valley of Khumbu, surrounded by giants, ice walls, mythic summits. Awesome villages of dry stones, many Manis and Stupas, towering monasteries scrapping the sky stake out our way under the benevolent protection of three peaks passing 8000 meters: Everest (8848 m), Makalu (8475 m), Lhotse (8383 m), and also the majestic Pumori (7145 m), Nuptse (7879 m) and Ama Dablam (6856 m).

Day 1 | Kathmandu, Bagmati, Nepal
Arrival in Katmandu (1350 m). Check in Hotel. Accommodation in Hotel.
Day 2 | Lukla, Nepal, Nepal
Katmandou/ Lukla (2800 m) / Phakding (2600 m).
Take advantage of early flight from Katmandu to Lukla to admire the eastern part of Himalaya: Langtang, Gauri shanker, Numbur, Manglungtse, and finally Everest appear during those 45 minutes. In Lukla (2800m), the Sherpa are waiting for you with material.
Trek begins with soft climbing down in Dudh Khosi valley.
From Chaunrikharka village (2621 m), the track goes north through Sherpa villageswhere wheat, corn, potatoes, vegetables are farmed. We cross the Dudh Khosi on wooden suspended bridge.
Climbing up: 50 meters.
Climbing down: 250 meters.
Walking time: 3 hours.

Day 3 | Namche, Nepal, Nepal
Phakding/ Namche Bazaar (3440 m)
This walking day starts following a long time the Dudh Khosi. The way is climbing slightly. Several times, we cross the river, pass Jorsale village (2805 m) and then climb more hardly to Namche Bazaar. Half hour later, we can admire Everest. We reach Namche quite early to discover this famous Sherpa village and its inhabitants. Some shops and Tibetan traders are selling jewels and handcraft from Tibet. There is a weekly important market where local farmers sell their dairy products (wheat, corn, millet,…)

Day 4 | Namche, Nepal, Nepal
Namche Bazaar (3440 m)
Acclimatization day in Namche.
Accommodation: same Lodge.
Day 5 | Phortse, Nepal, Nepal
Namche / Phortse (3800 m)
We climb up to Namche through a trail climbing slightly till the Mong pass. View on Ama Dablam and Kantega, the two most impressive peaks of whole Nepal; Then we down to Phortse Tenga at 3600 meters on milky river bank (Dudh Khosi) and climb up again few till Phortse village (3800 m). This day will improve our acclimatization.

Climbing down: 300 meters

Day 6 | Pangboche, Nepal, Nepal
Phortse/ Pangboche (3900 m)
Regular and slow climbing in the valley of Khumbu till Pangboche.
Climbing up: 400 meters
Walking time: 5 hours
Accommodation: Lodge in Pangboche.
Day 7 | Dingboche, Nepal, Nepal
Pangboche/ Dingboche (4300 m)
We reach Dingboche, the highest inhabited village of Khumbu.
Climbing up: 400 meters
Walking time: 4 hours.

Day 8 | Lobuche, Nepal, Nepal
Dingboche/ Lobuche (4830 m)
200 meters of slight climbing on the ridge till Thukla. Then rough climb to reach Lobuche. Sightseeing on Nuptse, Pumori, Lobuche Peak, Langtren.
Climbing up: 500 meters
Walking time: 5 hours
Accommodation: Lodge in Lobuche.
Day 9 | Kala Patar, Nepal, Nepal
Lobuche/ Kala Patar (5545 m)/ Lobuche
Early start to get nicest view ; we walk along the glacier of Khumbu; climbing is quite easy till Gorak shep and harder till Kala Patar. We are in the middle of a gigantic cirque towered by highest and most famous mountains in a mineral universe.
Climbing up: 700 meters
Climbing down: 700 meters

Day 10 | Tengboche, Nepal, Nepal
Lobuche/ Tengboche (3860 meters)
We down through Pangboche where was built one of oldest gompa of Nepal. We find back villages and forest and climb down till tengboche, spiritual highspot of Khumbu. Visit the famous monastery in a wonderful site regarded by Ama Dablam.
Climbing up: 150 meters
Climbing down: 1200 meters
Walking time: 6 hours

Day 11 | Tengboche, Nepal, Nepal
Tengboche/ Monju (2840 m)
Great climb down till the milky river and Monjo where we spend the night.
Climbing down: 1000 meters
Walking time: 5-6 hours

Day 12 | Lukla, Nepal, Nepal
Monju/ Lukla (2800 m)
We cross the Gumila forest to reach Lukla.
Climbing up: 200 meters
Climbing down: 200 meters
Walking time: 4 hours
Accommodation: Guest house.
Day 13 | Kathmandu, Bagmati, Nepal
Lukla/ Katmandu
Morning flight to Katmandu. Wonderful view on Himalayan range if weather is gentle. Transfer to Hotel. After lunch, we go to visit Bhaktapur, lavish pedestrian medieval city located at 15 km from Katmandu.

Day 14 | Kathmandu, Bagmati, Nepal
Katmandu
Sightseeing of high spots of Katmandu valley: visit of Bodhnath, oldest Stupa of the valley surrounded by 30 Tibetan monasteries, of Pashupatinath, Hindu place of cremation dedicated to Shiva where pilgrims come to bath in holy river Bagmati.

Day 15 | Kathmandu, Bagmati, Nepal
Katmandu/ departure
Free time in morning and transfer to Airport in afternoon for onward flight and arrival the next day.
